PRODUCTION PROGRAMME

  • Titrated Solution in vials and ready for use.
  • Buffer Solutions in vials and ready for use.
  • Standard solutions for various analytical techniques.
  • Indicators and Reagents for chemical analyses.
  • Dyes for microscopy and products for chemical – clinical analyses.
  • Solutions and products for industrial use.

The information reported here is the best we know and is based on known sources: international norms, official methods of analises and unofficial ones, pharmacopoeia, specialised literature, etc.

We thank in advance for any contribution, observation, recommendation.

Products and data reported in the catalogue can be modified according to the technical evolution.

1) Name and product description with possible concentration and other identifying data.

If not specified , it means the solutions are aqueous. The tritations of the solutions and the pH values of the buffer solutions are guaranteed by our laboratory with special methods of analyses and controlled with internal work standards with reference to “SRMR  NIST (Standard Reference MaterialR – National Institute of Standards and Tecnology MD –USA ) found in the catalogue.

For titred solutions ready for use,a +/- 0.2 % of tolerance is guaranteed at 20°C on the titre.

For the vials of concentrated solution to be diluted , we guarantee a tolerance of +/- 0,3 %.

For the buffers, we guarantee a tolerance on the pH value of +/- 0,02 e +/- 0,05 .

For solutions with a defined concentration of ions and other standards, the tolerance is +/- 0,2 %. Titred solutions and Buffers have a small thermometer with liquid crystals included to control the work temperature.

2) CE or EINECS number , if there is one, to identify the substance ( of the prevailing solute) .

3) C.A.S. number – Chemical Abstracts Service for registered products ( always referred to the main component) .

4) UN number: ONU identification number of the object for transport reasons (valid for the application for ADR for the trasportation of dangerous goods on the road) .

5) Nominal quantity of the package expressed in millilitres, litres, grams, kilograms.

6) Titolchimica identification code number – to be specified when ordering.

7) Batch number: it identifies the production and permits it to be recognised in terms of raw materials, parameters and controlled values. It is necessary to refer to this number in case certificates are requested or in case of contests, etc.

8) Expiry date: As regards the laboratory reagents, the expiry date is to be considered as the limit date recommended to use them.

In any case the whole product is referred to conserved correctly in its original sealed container , at a temperature between + 15° and + 25°C, in a dry and dark place.

It is advisable to check the titred solution and the buffer regularly even if unused for a long time, and write the dates, values found, etc. on the label according to GLP ( Good laboratory practicies) .

We do not put products about to expiry on the market, as we aren’t obliged to substitute expired products the clients have.

We generally guarantee the following expiries:

Titred Solutions ready for use: 3 years
Buffer solutions pH : 2 years

Concentrated Titred Solutions in vials : 4 years

Concentrated Buffer Solutions in vials : 3 years

Other Solutions with a defined concentration, indicators and auxiliary reactives : 5 years.

The expiry date appears on the analysis certificate of the batch product and / or on the label.

The dye solutions for microscopy are normally set for 2 years . The dye deposit on the bottle sides is the first sign that the solution is expiring and no longer suitable for use .

The dyes for microscopy must be kept in a dark place and at room temperature in their sealed bottles, not in a refrigerator as the dye may settle, in that case it is still possible to restore the solution by heating it bain –Marie at 50° - 60°C for 2 – 3 hours and then filtering it.

9) Danger symbols, risk phrases R and warning advise S:The classification of danger of our solutions is made according to the norms in force and to the updating and adapting of the main directive EEC 67 / 548, in force since the date printed on the catalogue.

10) Other information: recommendations for the conservation ; empirical formula with molecular weight, other data on the purity.
